This season our theme is "Presence in the Moment and Gratitude for the Opportunity".

This means we will all focus on being present in training, during competition experiences and in every moment we get on our boards. This attitude will allow for quality skill development, success in competition and aims to eliminate injuries that keep us from our sport.

We will also focus on Gratitude for the chance to ride and train in such a great environment thanks to the support of our parents, teammates and home support teams. We must understand the great chance we all get to live a life in the snowy mountains and to pursue our passions. We must reflect daily on the efforts we put into our own experiences and the efforts made by our parents,  our host resort Silver Star Mountain and the Silver Star Freestyle Club who provide us with amazing facilities and support systems and the opportunity to be our best.

The forest colours are changing and Winter is in the air!  At SSFC we are planning a great season of training for 2021. Training and development plans are coming together and we aim to provide an amazing season of on-snow, off-snow and competition experiences.  The BC Snowboard 2021 contest dates are still left unfilled due to Covid impacts, but we should learn more in October.  Summer training at Silver Star on the Rails and Tramps went very well and now the teams are working on tramps in Vernon and Kelowna.   We hope that everyone is preparing their physical condition and remember that technical goal setting is the thing to do! We look forward to seeing everyone soon and seeing a great team come together for the best season yet!       Cheers, Coach Crispin
