Welcome to the Can Freestyle Fundamentalz program. Previously known as Jumps and Bumps, this widely successful program provides a SAFE, FUN, LEARNING environment on snow for young skiers. The skill range is from skiers who can load a chairlift unassisted AND ski parallel on a green run up to advanced parallel skiers.
PROGRAM Schedule - These half-day sessions start JAN 2/3, 2021 weekend and run for 10 weeks with a fun competition at the end. Last weekend ends with the Hot Dog Freestyle event (MAR 6/7, 2021)
Tentative DAILY Schedule
*Please note meeting locations and times are tentative and may change prior to January due to Covid-19 health plan changes.
All FUNdamentalz athletes will be grouped based on both skill level and which friends they would like to ski with. So get the gang together and let's go have some FUN on SKIS. Due to restricted numbers, only 4 groups of 6 will be permitted per half-day session. If you register and the time you would like is not available please go on the waiting list and register for your 2nd choice. Friend requests should be listed in the registration form. Limit of one friend per registrant. Please arrange friend requests in advance of registration with your friend. FUNdamentalz is a great place to meet new friends, learn skiing freestyle skills and of course have fun in a safe environment.
The skills have been divided into Green/Blue/Black levels, which are outlined in the FUNdamentalz Report Card.
What is included? Each participant will receive a Silver Star Club Jersey to advertise our valued sponsors. The program includes coaching by a trained Club or Fundamentalz Freestyle Ski Coach.
What does a Fundamentalz skier need to have? Skier MUST have their own ski pass, skis, poles, ski boots, helmet, goggles, gloves and be dressed for the weather conditions.
Do you ever cancel sessions? We try our best to run classes every week as scheduled. In the event the temperature is -20 (or colder) with windchill we may cancel a session. In these cases the SS Freestyle will strive to make up missed sessions later in the season. This may not be possible in all cases. In the case of an "extraordinary" circumstance classes may be cancelled as well.
What if we are late? Coaches meet their groups at 8:30 AM or 12:30 at a location to be determined. If you are late and the groups have left the village you can check in at the brown bag lunch room where an SS Freestyle club representative will be on hand. Usually a coach is available at the drop off area 15 minutes after the program starts to help your child join their group. You can also txt 250-550-5322 if you have connection issues.
Refund Policy? Click here for current refund request information.
Feel free to email SS Freestyle Program Director, Wade Garrod, at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions regarding this program.
